Every year we hear from clients who must cancel their safari due to unforeseen circumstances. Though we are bound to the 25% non refundable fees mandated by camps and lodges, we work hard to keep cancellation fees as low as possible. However, we do incur significant costs that we must pass on. If you are forced to interrupt your trip after it has begun, the fees will usually exceed your total trip cost. Travel protection may help you to protect your investment of travel against cancellation. It also provides you an array of coverages during your trip such as emergency/accident care, medical evacuation, travel delays, lost or stolen luggage and more.
Don’t worry if you have not purchased your air tickets yet. You can add the cost of your tickets later by calling Travel Insured directly, or our Africa Travel Specialist is happy to assist as well. Also, if you prefer, you may buy your insurance in stages, as your financial liability increases. Just be certain that you increase your coverage within 21 days of each payment and that you ultimately insure for the full amount of your non-refundable trip costs if you wish to be covered for pre-existing conditions.
